The 6th ISPOR Egypt Chapter Annual Meeting “Health Technology Assessment in Action” will be held on 23 November 2023 in Cairo, Egypt. This meeting is under the umbrella of the Ministry of Health and aims to help networking, sharing knowledge and fostering communication for health economists and policy makers from different sectors at regional level in MENA countries. It facilitates the allocation of resources and optimization of the health systems towards innovation, in support of progress toward the internationally agreed sustainable development goals of the Universal Health Coverage and HTA implementation in the Region. The main topics to be discussed in the meeting are access to innovation, humanizing healthcare, challenges of HTA implementation, challenges in unified purchasing process and rare diseases decision making process.
