About Health Technology Assessment
Health technology assessment, often referred to simply by its acronym “HTA,” is the systematic use of evidence to inform healthcare decisions for new health technologies, such as biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, and diagnostics. HTA is a multidisciplinary activity that has gained increased recognition as a standard policy tool for informing decision makers who manage the entry and use of health technologies. HTA topics can include systems and structures, value frameworks, dossier format, as well as decision and deliberative processes.Related ISPOR Reports & Resources
