Description

Despite the rapid development of the digital health sector globally, the terminology and definitions are often ambiguous and are missing important information. Hence, the PICOTS-ComTeC (Population, Intervention, Comparator, Outcome, Timing, Setting, Communication, Technology, and Context) framework has been proposed as a flexible tool to facilitate the identification of appropriate patient-facing digital health interventions (DHIs) and comparators for a given decision. Developed by members of the ISPOR Digital Health Special Interest Group through systematic reviews and a Delphi consensus survey study, PICOTS-ComTeC is a versatile tool intended to assist authors in designing and reporting primary HEOR studies and evidence syntheses, yielding actionable results for clinicians and other decision-makers.

This webinar will introduce attendees to the PICOTS-ComTeC framework, describe how PICOTS-ComTeC compares with established DHI frameworks/guidelines, discuss potential uses cases from education, research, and decision-making, and address audience questions and comments.

Learning Objectives

  • Learn what the PICOTS-ComTeC framework is and how it can be used for HEOR purposes.
  • Understand how PICOTS-ComTeC can be used with other international and national frameworks and guidelines for DHI assessment and reporting.
  • Acquire proficiency in applying PICOTS-ComTeC from examples provided for a range of DHI applications.
