Learn the basics of the 6-step approach for developing budget impact analyses
This primer is on the 6 basic steps for estimating budget impact:
- estimating the eligible population uptake;
- selecting a time horizon;
- identifying current and projected treatment mix;
- estimating current and future drug costs;
- estimating change in disease-related costs; and
- estimating and presenting changes in annual budget impact and health outcomes.
The course is designed for those with some experience with pharmacoeconomic analysis who would like a primer on the 6 steps for budget impact analysis or for individuals taking the course titled Budget Impact Analysis II: Applications and Design Issues on December 4-5.
