Description

Digital health technologies aim to improve the quality of healthcare services, patient outcomes, and are also known to help in the efficient utilization of resources. With the meager financial and human resources for health in many African countries, digital innovations are being adopted to bring efficiency to the system. Hence, this webinar focuses on important developments within the African continent. The main learning objectives are (1) to outline country experiences on rolling out digital health technologies, (2) discuss the role of big data analytics, and (3) describe the future prospects in the African context. Dr. Eskinder Eshetu Ali will moderate the webinar and will share country experiences from East Africa with particular emphasis on the Ethiopian context. Dr. Daniel Ankrah will present on the role of big data analytics and digital health technologies on the experience from Ghana.
