Description
Collecting real-world data (RWD) and generating real-world evidence (RWE) is becoming more important for making better decisions in healthcare, specifically in Health Technology Assessment (HTA). What are the main barriers which prevent using real-world
evidence in Central and Eastern Europe, typically generated in Western Europe? What are the proposed solutions to overcome these barriers? What are the prospects of generating RWD/RWE in the CEE countries? This webinar will cover these opportunities and
challenges. Dr. Oresta Piniazhko will moderate the webinar and share experience in use of RWE from the perspective of a health technology assessment (HTA) national body in Ukraine. Dr. Bertalan Németh will present on research conducted on barriers
and their solutions from the ongoing EU Horizon 2020 research project, HTx. Dr. Maria Kamusheva will focus on the importance of RWE and RWD to conduct valuable pharmacoeconomic evaluations in the CEE region and share the experience from a Central and
Eastern European university perspective, as well as a HTx project member. Dr. Maciej Niewada from Poland will present his views from an independent researcher perspective, exploring the needs of non-public funded stakeholders as well.
