DESCRIPTION

During this course, the key aspects and new developments of decision modeling for economic analysis are considered. In particular, how the limitations of Markov models can be overcome is explored using various modelling techniques including different options for introducing time-dependency into state transition models. How models can be made probabilistic to capture parameter uncertainty (including rationale, choosing parameter distributions, and types of uncertainty) is covered. A taxonomy of modelling types places the techniques described in this course within the broader universe of modelling methods. Participants should have an understanding of decision analysis.

PREREQUISITE: Attendance at virtual course "Pharmacoeconomic Modeling-Applications" or equivalent knowledge is a prerequisite to attending this course.

Registrants receive a digital course book. Copyright, Trademark and Confidentiality Policies apply.
