• ¿Cómo pueden los actores del sistema de saludtrabajar colaborativamente para brindar acceso a la innovación con sostenibilidad financiera? Los Esquemas de Acuerdo Administrado han mantenido durante mucho tiempo la promesa de responder a este reto, pero a nivel de América Latina dicha promesa no ha sido cubierta del todo. No obstante, un creciente número de ejemplos locales y las lecciones aprendidas de la pandemia, nos muestran que dada la combinación correcta de voluntad política, diálogo entre múltiples actores, participación y compromiso de expertos y, nuevas formas de acuerdo es posible cambiar el status quo y ofrecer mejor atención a un costo sostenible./ How can health systems stakeholders work collaboratively to provide access to innovation with financial sustainability? Managed Entry Agreements have played the role of responding to this challenge, but at the Latin American level that promise has not been fully met. However, a growing number of local examples and lessons learned from the pandemic show us that given the right combination of political will, multi-stakeholder dialogue, expert participation and commitment, and new forms of agreement, it is possible to change the status quo, and offer better care at a sustainable cost. 

• ¿Cómo pueden los países de América Latina aprovechar este potencial para crear sistemas de salud con la capacidad de brindar nuevos avances en la atención en salud a sus ciudadanos de una forma sistemática y sostenible? / How can Latin American countries take advantage of this potential to create health systems with the capacity to deliver new advances in healthcare to their inhabitants in a systematic and sustainable way?

En este evento educativo, escucharemos a dos expertos que han estado a la vanguardia de los esfuerzos en America Latina por implementar estos acuerdos, con el fin de balancear el acceso a nuevas tecnologías con un financiamiento sostenible. Héctor Castro (Líder global en financiamiento a la salud, tecnologías, datos e impacto, MSH) y Alicia Ferreira (Ex-directora del Fondo Nacional de Recursos) compartirán con nosotros ejemplos reales de cómo los Esquemas de Acuerdo Administrado se están implementando progresivamente en América Latina y, recomendaciones sobre cómo crear las bases para un camino mejorado hacia un mayor acceso a tratamientos para todos los latinoamericanos./ In this educational event, we will learn from two experts who have been at the forefront of efforts in Latin America to implement these agreements, in order to balance access to new technologies with sustainable financing. Héctor Castro (Global leader in financing for health, technologies, data and impact, MSH) and Alicia Ferreira (Former Director of the National Resource Fund) will share with us real examples of how Managed Entry Agreements are being progressively implemented in Latin America, and what are the recommendations on how to create the foundation for an improved path toward greater access of treatment for all in Latin America.
