ISPOR Recognized by MarCom Awards for Its Annual Report and Rebranding of Value in Health

Society Wins 3 Platinum Awards and 1 Gold Award

Lawrenceville, NJ, USA—December 3, 2019—ISPOR—the professional society for health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), announced that it has won a number of MarCom Awards recognizing the rebranding of its high-impact journal Value in Health and for its 2018 Annual Report.

The MarCom Awards honor excellence in marketing and communication. Since its inception in 2004, the MarCom Awards program has evolved into one of the largest, most-respected creative competitions in the world. Each year approximately 6000 entries are submitted to the MarCom Awards from around the world.

Value in Health Redesign/Anniversary Issue

Value in HealthAs part of ISPOR’s global brand refresh, the Society launched a redesign of its flagship journal—the high-impact, highly ranked Value in Health. The MarCom Awards recognized this rebrand that launched with its 20th anniversary issue with a Gold Award in the Print Media | Design/Print | Other/Journal category. The new journal design reflects a more contemporary look that features a new cover, new page layout, and the use of color to improve overall readability. To mark this important 20th anniversary milestone, the journal’s editors commissioned articles that dealt with topics that have been widely discussed in the journal over the past 20 years, but for which there is an exciting future agenda in the field of HEOR.

Annual Report

ISPOR 2018 Annual Report CoverISPOR published a 2018 Annual Report this year; its first annual report in many years. The MarCom Awards recognized this publication with 3 Platinum Awards. The Platinum Award categories won were (1) Print Media | Annual Report | Association, (2) Print Media | Annual Report | Nonprofit, and (30 Print Media | Annual Report | Design.

ISPOR’s creative partner for the initiatives recognized was Taft Communications.
