The role of health preference research (HPR) in healthcare decision making is rapidly expanding. Despite this, HPR is rarely a standalone course in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) programs. It is important for New Professionals to have a basic understanding of: 1) HPR methods, 2) how their use differs from other sources of patient-provided information, eg, patient reported outcomes (PROs), and 3) the current landscape of how decision makers, including regulators and health technology assessment (HTA) bodies, incorporate HPR into their work. This webinar is a collaboration between ISPOR’s Health Preference Research Special Interest Group and the New Professionals Network.
During this presentation, speakers will discuss:
- Health Preferences: What are they and what are they not?
- Introduction to Health Preference Research Methods
- Applied Preference Research: What is the Current Landscape?
