GLOBAL TRAVEL AND THE ZIKA VIRUS

Princeton, NJ—September 1, 2016— As a global event producer, ISPOR is closely monitoring news reports of outbreaks of the Zika virus. To date, more than 53 countries or territories have reported cases of the virus. Most recently, cases have been reported in Singapore—the location of an ISPOR conference on September 3-6, 2016. The Singapore Ministry of Health website provides additional information here. All travelers are recommended to follow official guidance on precautions against mosquito bites. More information about the Zika virus is available from the World Health Organization here. Specific questions relating to ISPOR events should be directed here.
