Description
ISPOR publishes the Top 10 HEOR Trends reports as part of its horizon scanning and monitoring of the trends that affect healthcare decision making around the world. ISPOR gathers information from its members on the current and future importance of a broad range of topics related to health, health care, health policy and scientific research. It serves multiple purposes, including to help prioritize scientific initiatives and related activities, inform our communications with external stakeholders and the media, and allow ISPOR to improve our planning of future meeting content.
The 2024-2025 report marks the fifth publication of the Society’s Top 10 HEOR Trends report, each one based on member surveys and strategic curation from its Health Science Policy Council (https://www.ispor.org/heor-resources/about-heor/top-10-heor-trends). Many of the trends have been dominating the headlines and are areas in which HEOR can provide information that informs and improves healthcare decisions. The trends include some topics highlighted in previous Top 10 reports, such as real world evidence and value assessment, as well as some newer ones, such as artificial intelligence and health equity. Hear from ISPOR’s Chief Science Officers, who will begin with the methods underlying the report, and then will discuss each of the Top 10 topics, the HEOR considerations related to each one, and how ISPOR members are engaged in them, and will conclude with a question and answer period.
- Awareness of the HEOR topics rated as most important by ISPOR members, among a broad range of topics related to health, healthcare, health policy and scientific research.
- Explain the major trends influencing HEOR and ISPOR’s activities related to them for both the HEOR and non-HEOR audience.
- Be informed about ISPOR activities related to each on the top 10 topics
