ABSTRACT WITHDRAWN

OBJECTIVES: The study aims to evaluate overall treatment costs and key cost-influencing factors for Atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and vitiligo across different economic models. Additionally, it seeks to compare cost-effectiveness analysis (CEA), cost-utility analysis (CUA), cost-minimization analysis (CMA), and budget impact models (BIM) in assessing economic parameters used in models.

METHODS: A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted on PubMed to identify economic models published for atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and vitiligo.

RESULTS: A total of 1,236 articles were retrieved from the database. After primary screening, 61 articles were included, and the remaining articles were excluded based on exclusion categories of outcomes not of interest (n=507), study design not of interest (n=130), and population not of interest (n=538). In Secondary screening, full text of included articles was reviewed, out of which 48 articles were included for final analysis, and excluded articles were categorized into study design not of interest (n=5), outcome not of interest (n=5), full text unavailable (n=2), and article unavailable in English (n=1). This study's results will potentially provide an understanding of the cost implications of various treatments and shall aid healthcare resource allocation.

CONCLUSIONS: This systematic literature review (SLR) will provide a comprehensive evaluation of published economic models for atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and vitiligo, aiding decision-makers in optimizing treatment strategies to improve patient healthcare outcomes. It will also compare treatments used for these dermatological conditions, including an ICER comparison, and offer a detailed overview of the various input sources used in these economic models. Additionally, it will identify gaps and limitations in the existing literature to inform future research agendas in dermatological treatments.
