Michael Pencina, PhD, is Vice Dean for Data Science for Duke University School of Medicine, Professor of Biostatistics & Bioinformatics, and Director of Duke AI Health.  He leads quantitative science for training, laboratory, clinical and data science missions. He is an international expert in risk prediction model development and evaluation; novel, efficient clinical study design; and machine learning for medical decision support.
