Jon Tosh, PhD, is a Research Scientist in Modelling and Simulation at Evidera with over 10 years of experience. He has extensive experience of economic modelling, operations research, simulation modelling, cost-effectiveness analysis and HTA. He is experienced at applying advanced mathematical modelling solutions to a range of problem types. Jon is a member of the editorial board for Pharmacoeconomics Open. Prior to joining Evidera, Jon spent 2.5 years at DRG Abacus as a consultant health economist working on global health economics research. Before this, Jon spent over 8 years working as a health economist at the University of Sheffield. His role spanned teaching, research, and methodology. Jon has in depth knowledge of NICE, and was formally a member of the University of Sheffield Technology Assessment Group and the NICE Decision Support Unit. He has developed cutting-edge health economic methods and has published over 20 peer-reviewed journal publications. Jon was awarded his PhD in Health Economics from the University of Sheffield in 2015. His PhD spanned operations research, health economics, simulation modelling and optimisation. He also has an MSc in Health Economics from the London School of Economics, and a BA(Hons) in Economics from the University of Leicester. His experience covers a wide range of therapeutic areas including immunology, oncology, hepatology, neurology, mental health, cardio-vascular disease, and ultra-orphan conditions. Jon is currently a member of the emerging good practices ISPOR task force on constrained optimization methods in health care delivery. He has been a podium, workshop and forum presenter and short course instructor at previous ISPOR meetings.
