John Hernandez is a Research Scientist at Google where he is working to introduce AI-enabled healthcare tools that help organize health information for users and make it universally accessible and useful so they can lead healthier lives. Dr. Hernandez has more than 25 years of clinical research, consulting and commercial strategy experience and he has been directly involved in over 30 major medical technology product launches. Prior to joining Google, John was Vice President of Global Health Economics and Outcomes Research at Abbott Laboratories and previously Vice President of Health Economics and Clinical Research at Boston Scientific Corporation. John has been an adjunct faculty member at Stanford University and served in health services research, strategy consulting and health policy roles at the RAND Corporation, Quintiles, PwC and the American Society of Internal Medicine (now ACP). He is widely published in scientific journals and is a frequent healthcare lecturer. John obtained his PhD and Masters in Health Policy at the RAND Graduate School in Santa Monica, CA and his BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
