Janusz Cieszyński was an adviser of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the Ministry of Development and the Ministry of Finance. In 2016-2017, he headed the Department of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) at the Ministry of Development.

He ran a company dealing in business and legal consulting for entrepreneurs from the SME sector. From 2009-2014, he worked in one of the largest telecommunication companies. He is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Export Credit Insurance Corporation S.A. He has been Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Health since 2018.
