Hidde Hovenkamp has his master’s degree in econometrics and has previously worked as a data science consultant in Amsterdam, helping large corporations with advanced predictive modelling. As a follow-up to his participation in the 2014 edition of the Dutch National ThinkTank edition on Big Data, and to create more direct impact on society, Hidde co-founded Pacmed, a company that builds decision support software based on machine learning and medical expertise. Pacmed works together with several hospitals in the Netherlands in building algorithms for improving the intensive care, oncology and treatment of chronic diseases. Hidde is the CTO of Pacmed and leads the intensive care product team.
