Claudia Soares is a physician who received her Medical Degree in 1996 and spent 2-years of residency training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. MSc and PhD in Epidemiology & Biostatistics with focus on epidemiology methods and comparative effectiveness studies using real world data. Second Master in Business Intelligence with focus on data sciences and artificial intelligence methods in healthcare.
Before joining GSK, she worked as an epidemiologist/health outcomes consultant and associated researcher in Academic, Private, Public and Government Institutions, coordinating observational studies, academic and health programs.
Dr. Soares leads Epidemiology, Health Outcomes, Medical Decision Making, Data Collaborations and RWD projects in target Emerging Markets. Dr. Soares focuses on evidence generation strategy and value solutions for marketed and developmental drugs. She works with a combination of data from different sources, to optimize and quantify asset value, studying disease patterns and impact of treatments in multiple therapeutic areas. Dr. Soares is an expert on Causal Inference, Healthcare data sciences, Medical Decision Making and Observational Studies, including Health Outcomes and Comparative Effectiveness Research.
