Andrew Davies is Senior Health Economist at the University of Glasgow. He was until recently Principal Health Economist at ICON Health Economics, and has over 15 years’ experience of cost-effectiveness modelling in health. He has lead modelling projects in a wide range of clinical areas, including cardiovascular disease, oncology, neurology, and psychiatry. In recent years he has been closely involved with the UK Risk Share Scheme for Multiple Sclerosis Disease Modifying Therapies. He regularly conducts projects for the development of global cost-effectiveness models with a focus on submissions to bodies such as NICE. These frequently involve analysis of survival data, developing suites of risk equations based on randomized and observational data to support extrapolation and examination of heterogeneity in cost-effectiveness models.
